Zone & Pricing Guidelines

Zone List Overview #

The Zone List displays all the available zones with the following details:

• Name: The unique name of the zone.
• Strategy: Pricing strategy assigned to the zone:
  • BOO: Pricing based on the Order Date.
  • BOD: Pricing based on the Delivery Date.
• Countries: Countries included in the zone.
• Currency: The currency used for transactions within the zone.

Actions Available for Each Zone #

1. Edit (First Action):
   • Opens the Zone Editor, where you can:
     • Update the zone name.
     • Modify associated countries.
     • Change the pricing strategy.
2. Pricing (Second Action):
   • Opens the pricing configuration page for the selected zone. You can:
     • View existing pricing periods.
     • Add new pricing periods.
     • Configure product prices for specific periods.
3. View Periods (Third Action):
   • Displays a list of pricing periods for the selected zone. Each period includes:
     • View Price List Action: Opens a modal displaying the detailed price list for the selected period.
     • Delete Period Action: Deletes the selected pricing period (action is irreversible).

Adding a New Zone #

1. Form Inputs:
   • Pricing Strategy: Choose between BOO or BOD.
   • Zone Name: Enter a unique name for the zone.
   • Countries: Select the countries associated with the zone.
2. Add Zone Button:
   • Saves the new zone and includes it in the Zone List.

Pricing Section Guidelines #

Adding or Managing Pricing Periods #

1. Actions within the Pricing Section:
   • Add New Period:
     • Use the “+” button at the bottom right of the pricing list to create a new pricing period.
   • View/Hide Period Details:
     • Click the “+” button to expand period details.
     • Click the “-” button to collapse the details.
2. Configuring Pricing Periods:
   • Start and End Dates: Define the duration of the pricing period.
   • Products:
     • View all products under the pricing period.
     • Set or update prices for individual products or in bulk.
   • Update Pricing: Save changes made to the pricing configurations.
3. Managing Pricing Periods:
   • For each pricing period:
     • View Price List: Opens a modal displaying detailed product pricing for that period.
     • Delete Period: Permanently removes the pricing period.

Notes #

• Avoid Overlaps: Ensure no overlap in pricing periods to maintain clarity and accuracy.
• Proper Naming: Use consistent naming conventions to avoid duplication of zones.
• Confirmation for Deletion: Deletion actions are irreversible; confirm before proceeding.
• Bulk Pricing Updates: Use the product list under each period to efficiently update prices for multiple products.
