Overview of Generate Sub Barcode #
The “Generate Sub Barcode” form accommodates six product types. It captures general fields applicable to all product types first, followed by fields specific to the selected product type. This guide ensures users can navigate the form effectively and understand the purpose of each field.
How to Access the Sub Barcode Modal #
- Navigate to the System Barcode screen.
- Locate the shipment for which you want to generate a sub barcode.
- Click the Plus Icon (+) under the Actions column of the relevant System Barcode.

General Fields (Applicable to All Product Types) #
- Product Type: Select the type of product (e.g., Wild Caught Fresh, Farmed Fresh, etc.).
- Origin: Input the shipment origin.
- Supplier: Select the supplier from the dropdown menu.
- Product: Choose the product from the available list.
- Invoice Number: Enter the invoice number associated with the shipment.
- Invoice Amount: Provide the total invoice amount.
- Condition of Vehicle: Select the vehicle condition. If unclear, upload a supporting document.
- Condition of Packing: Select the packing condition. If unclear, upload a supporting document.
- Vehicle Temperature: Input the vehicle’s temperature during transportation.
- Quality Certificate: Select the relevant quality certificate (e.g., MSC or QC).
- Certificate Validation Date: Enter the validation date of the certificate.
- Expiry Date: Provide the product’s expiry date.
- Product Spec: Add specifications for the product.
- Catching or Harvest Date: Specify the date when the product was caught (wild) or harvested (farmed).
Special Fields Based on Product Type #
1. Wild Caught Fresh Itube #
- Total Itube Weight: Enter the weight of the itube.
- Fishing Vessels: Select the vessel used for fishing.
- Catch Zone and Sub-Zone: Specify the zones where the product was caught.
- Catch Gear: Select the type of gear used for catching.
- Catching Certificate: Upload the relevant certificate.
- Itube Quantity: Enter the quantity of itubes.
2. Wild Caught Fresh Foam Boxes #
- Pallet Quantity: Specify the number of pallets.
- Box Quantity (by Pallet): Add the box quantity for each pallet.
- Total Weight (by Pallet): Provide the total weight for each pallet.
3. Farmed Fresh Itube #
- Total Itube Weight: Provide the weight of the itube.
- Product CV Reference Number: Enter the product’s CV reference number.
- Slaughter Date: Provide the date the product was processed.
- Itube Quantity: Specify the number of itubes.
4. Farmed Fresh Foam Boxes #
- Pallet Quantity: Specify the number of pallets.
- Box Quantity (by Pallet): Input the number of boxes for each pallet.
- Total Weight (by Pallet): Provide the total weight of each pallet.
- Product CV Reference Number: Enter the CV reference number.
5. Farmed Frozen #
- Pallet Quantity: Specify the number of pallets.
- Block Quantity (by Pallet): Add the number of blocks per pallet.
- Total Weight (by Pallet): Provide the total weight for each pallet.
6. Wild Caught Frozen #
- Pallet Quantity: Specify the number of pallets.
- Block Quantity (by Pallet): Input the block quantity for each pallet.
- Total Weight (by Pallet): Provide the total weight per pallet.
Actions and Features #
- Add Entries: Use the “+ Add” button to input multiple entries for pallets, itubes, or blocks.
- Remove Entries: Use the delete icon to remove specific entries.
- Save Form: Once all information is added, click Save to generate the sub barcode.
Conditions Requiring Document Upload #
- Condition of Vehicle: If the condition is unclear, upload a supporting document.
- Condition of Packing: If unclear, upload a document to verify.
Tips for Efficient Use #
- Fill in all general fields before proceeding to product-specific fields.
- Ensure certificates are valid and documents are readily available for upload when required.
- Double-check the entered data before saving to avoid errors in barcode generation.

Sub Barcode Actions #
Once a sub-barcode is generated, the following actions are available:
- View Barcode and Raw Material Details
- Click the eye icon to view the barcode and its associated raw material details.
- This action provides a detailed breakdown of the registered barcode, including raw material type, weight, and related documentation.
- Check In
- Click the check-in icon to register the barcode in a specific storage location.
- A modal will open, allowing you to select the location from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm the check-in by clicking the “Check In” button.
- Once confirmed, an order for scanners is generated automatically.
- You can view the check-in details under Store Management > Check-In Section.
- Print Pallet Label
- Click the print icon to generate and print the label for pallets.
- The label includes the barcode, product details, date, weight, and company information.
- Mark as Received
- Click the received icon to mark the raw material as received.
- This action updates the system to reflect the actual date of receipt, which is crucial for tracking and reporting.
- Upload Documents
- Click the upload icon to attach supporting documents for the barcode.
- Select the document type and upload the required file to ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
Check-In Flow #
The “Check-In” process is used to register a barcode to a specific storage location and to ensure the barcode is available for scanning and further processing.
Steps to Check In #
- Select the Barcode
- Navigate to the Sub Barcode section.
- Click the check-in icon for the desired barcode.
- Choose the Storage Location
- A modal will open. Use the dropdown menu to select the appropriate storage location.
- Confirm the Check-In
- Click the “Check In” button.
- The system will register the barcode in the selected storage location.
- An order for scanners is generated automatically for operational use.
- Verify the Check-In
- Navigate to Store Management > Check-In Section to view the registered barcode and its details.
Mark as Received Flow #
The “Mark as Received” action allows users to record the accurate receipt date for materials, even if the barcode was registered earlier.
Scenario Example #
- You register a barcode today (e.g., January 19, 2025) for raw material expected to arrive tomorrow (e.g., January 20, 2025).
- When the material arrives, marking it as “Received” ensures that tomorrow’s date (January 20) is accurately recorded in the system, labels, and reports.
Steps to Mark as Received #
- Locate the Barcode
- Go to the Sub Barcode section and identify the barcode to be updated.
- Input the Receipt Date
- Click the received icon for the selected barcode.
- A modal will open prompting you to enter the receipt date.
- Use the date picker to select the actual date of receipt (e.g., January 20, 2025).
- Save the Date
- Click the “Mark as Received” button to save the information.
- The barcode’s status will be updated with the selected receipt date.
- System Updates
- All labels, reports, and system records will now reflect the accurate receipt date.
