Overview #
The Product Family module is part of the Raw Material Management system. It enables users to manage product families, their types, and related actions.
Product Family Details #
- #: Serial number for tracking.
- Name: Name of the product family (e.g., COD ATLANTIC).
- Product Type: Specifies the type of product under the family (e.g., WILD CAUGHT FRESH ITUBE).
- Family Type: Defines the categorization within the family (e.g., Whole and Gutted).
Actions Available for Each Product Family #
- Edit:
- Opens a form to update the product family details, including the name, product type, and family type.
- Allows correction of errors or changes in classification.
- Delete:
- Removes the product family from the list.
- A confirmation prompt ensures the action is deliberate since it is irreversible.
Adding a New Product Family #
- Inputs Required:
- Product Type: Select a product type from the dropdown menu.
- Family Type: Choose the appropriate family type from the dropdown.
- Type: Select the specific option for categorization.
- Steps:
- Fill in the required fields.
- Click the Add Product Family button to save the entry.
Notes #
- Ensure accurate classification of products into types and families to maintain data consistency.
- Regularly update family and product details to align with any changes in inventory or supply.
- Deleted entries cannot be restored, so verify before deleting.
