Material Management Guideline

Material List View #

Fields Overview: #

1. Code: Unique code assigned to each material.
2. Name: The name of the material (e.g., “Cardboard Box 5kg”).
3. Weight: The weight of the material in grams (e.g., “240gr”).
4. Length: The length of the material in mm (e.g., “384mm”).
5. Size:
   • Includes the dimensions of the material: Width (W), Height (H).
   • Example: “W: 254mm H: 110mm”.
6. Category: Category of the material (e.g., “Carton Boxes,” “Styro Foam”).
7. Client:
   • Options: Standard or selected client if the type is Special.
8. Actions:
   • Edit: Opens the material in the respective screen (Screen-2 or Screen-3) for editing.
   • Delete: Removes the material from the list.

Scenario-1 : For Non-Vacuum Film Categories #

Fields Overview: #

1. Material Name: Enter the name of the material.
2. Material Weight:
   • Input the weight in grams.
   • Select the appropriate unit.
3. Category: The selected category (e.g., Styro Foam, Carton Boxes) will auto-populate.
4. Material Dimensions:
   • Input Length, Width, Height, and their respective units.
5. Material Capacity:
   • Specify the capacity.
   • Select the unit.
6. Type:
   • Standard: No further action.
   • Special:
     • Select the Client.
     • Select the associated Products.
7. Calculation By:
   • Options: Weight or Unit.
8. Critical Quantity: Enter the minimum quantity threshold for alerts.
9. Cost per Unit: Specify the price for one unit.
10. Actual:
    • Options: Yes or No.

Scenario–2: For Vacuum Film Category #

Fields Overview: #

1. Material Name: Enter the name of the vacuum film material.
2. Material Thickness:
   • Specify the thickness.
   • Select the unit.
3. Category: This will be automatically set to “Vacuum Film.”
4. Material Dimensions:
   • Input Width and select its unit.
5. Type:
   • Standard: No further action.
   • Special:
     • Select the Client.
     • Select the associated Products.
6. Calculation By:
   • Options: Weight or Unit.
7. Critical Quantity: Define the minimum quantity for alerts.
8. Cost per Unit: Specify the price for one unit.
9. Actual:
   • Options: Yes or No.

Summary of Conditions #

1. Category = “Vacuum Film”:
   • Use Scenario-2.
   • Requires Thickness instead of full dimensions (Length, Height).
   • Follow the same logic for Type (Standard or Special).
   • Ensure Calculation By and Actual fields are filled.
2. Category ≠ “Vacuum Film”:
   • Use Scenario–1.
   • Requires Length, Width, Height.
   • Follow the same logic for Type (Standard or Special).
   • Ensure Calculation By and Actual fields are filled.
