Managing Family Types

The Product Modules section allows administrators to organize and manage product-related information using Family Types, Categories, and Sub-Categories. Each module is customizable and can be expanded based on business requirements.

1. Managing Family Types #

Family Types define the overarching grouping of products and provide additional descriptive details.

Steps to View and Manage Family Types: #

1. Navigate to the Family Type tab within the Product Modules section.
2. A table displays the following columns:
   • Name: The name of the family type.
   • Description: A brief description of the family type.
   • Scientific Name: The scientific name, if applicable.
   • Actions: Options to edit or delete the family type.

Available Actions: #

• Edit a Family Type:
  • Click the Edit button (pencil icon) next to the family type to update its details.
• Delete a Family Type:
  • Click the Delete button (trash icon) to remove the family type permanently.

Adding a Family Type: #

1. Click the Add Family Type button at the top-right corner.
2. Fill in the required fields:
   • Type Name: Enter the name of the family type.
   • Scientific Name: Enter the scientific name (optional).
   • Description: Provide a brief description.
3. Click Save to create the new family type.
