Overview #
The defrosting module is designed to streamline the process of handling frozen materials. It enables users to check in pallets, allocate them to blue containers for defrosting, and monitor the entire defrosting workflow via live previews and process lists.
Workflow Steps #
1. Check-In #
- Navigate to the Defrosting > Check-In section.
- The Check-In Table displays:
- Order Reference Number: Unique ID for each order.
- Date & Time: Timestamp of the check-in.
- Pallets: Total number of pallets.
- Status: Current status (e.g., Waiting, Completed).
- Action: Eye icon to view details.
- Click on the Eye Icon to view order details, which include:
- Barcode: Unique identifier for the pallet.
- Blocks: Total quantity of frozen material in blocks.
- Product Description: Details of the frozen product.
- Scanner Status: Indicates if the pallet is scanned.
- Scanned At: Timestamp of scanning.
2. Process Pallets #
- Once a pallet is checked in, navigate to the Process tab.
- Click the Process Button for the relevant order.
- Select Pallet: Choose the pallet to process from the dropdown menu. The system will display:
- Total Blocks: The full quantity of frozen material in the pallet.
- Remaining Blocks: Blocks left after previous processes.
- Choose Container Capacity: Define how many blocks each blue container can hold (e.g., 5 blocks).
- Select Number of Containers: Indicate how many containers will be used (e.g., 5 containers).
- The system automatically calculates the distribution:
- Total Blocks = Container Capacity x Number of Containers.
- Remaining Blocks = Total Blocks – Processed Blocks.
- The system automatically calculates the distribution:
- Confirm the allocation. The system will now:
- Divide the blocks into the specified containers.
- Update the remaining quantity on the pallet.
- Container View:
- Each container displays a barcode with a random background color.
- Color Indicators:
- Green: Container is empty.
- Red: Container is full.
- Orange: Container has some blocks but still has capacity for more.
3. Monitor the Process #
- Navigate to the Process tab to monitor defrosting.
- The Process Table displays:
- Barcode Serial Number: Unique identifier for each processed batch.
- Start Date & Time: When the defrosting started.
- Product: Description of the defrosted product.
- Status: Current status (e.g., Processing, Completed).
- View Live Preview:
- Click on Check Live Preview to see the real-time status of blocks.
- Each container is displayed with its assigned blocks and completion status (e.g., green for completed, red for pending).
4. Check-Out #
- Navigate to the Defrosting > Check-Out section.
- Review the Check-Out Table, which includes:
- Order Reference Number.
- Date & Time: Timestamp of check-out.
- Pallets: Number of pallets being checked out.
- Status: Current status (e.g., Completed).
- Action: Eye icon to view details.
- Verify the allocation and confirm the check-out.
- Note: This section is for view-only. Check-out is performed using a scanner.
5. Generating Blue Containers #
- Navigate to the Defrosting > Defrosting Containers section.
- Defrosting Containers Table:
- The table displays all generated blue containers, including:
- Container Barcode: Unique identifier for each container.
- Status: Indicates whether the container is Active or Inactive.
- Actions:
- Print Icon: Allows printing the container details.
- Deactivate Icon: Deactivates the specific container (containers cannot be deleted).
- The table displays all generated blue containers, including:
- Generating New Containers:
- Click the Generate Containers button.
- A modal will appear titled Generate Containers with the following field:
- Quantity: Enter the number of containers to generate.
- Click Generate to create the containers.
- Once the containers are generated:
- They appear in the table with a unique Container Barcode.
- The status is automatically set to Active.
- Managing Containers:
- Deactivation: If a container is no longer in use, click the Deactivate Icon. The status will update to Inactive, but the container will remain in the system for historical tracking and audit purposes.
- Printing Barcodes: Use the Print Icon to generate labels for the containers.
- Searching Containers:
- Use the Search Bar to find a specific container by entering the barcode.
Key Functionalities #
Container Allocation #
- Blue containers are essential for the defrosting process.
- Each container’s capacity must be specified (e.g., 5 blocks per container).
- The system ensures an even and accurate distribution of blocks.
Live Preview #
- Provides real-time updates on the status of each container.
- Blocks are displayed with color-coded indicators:
- Green: Completed.
- Red: Pending.
- Orange: Partially filled.
Process History #
- Users can navigate to the History Tab to view:
- All completed processes.
- Detailed logs of container allocations.
- Time-stamped records of each step.
Example Scenario #
- Pallet Details:
- Total Blocks: 100
- Container Capacity: 5 blocks/container
- Selected Containers: 5
- Outcome:
- Blocks Assigned: 5 containers x 5 blocks = 25 blocks.
- Remaining Blocks: 100 – 25 = 75 blocks.
- Containers are now in the defrosting process, visible via live preview.
System Notes #
- Ensure that all pallets are scanned before starting the defrosting process.
- Monitor the status of each container to prevent errors.
- Use the live preview to track the real-time progress of defrosting.
