Note: #
Before starting this process, ensure that the required block wax sheet quantity is available in the Production And Processing > Block Packings section. Without sufficient block packing material, this process cannot proceed. Refer to the linked guide for detailed steps on how to check in material for block packing.
Overview #
The Block Entries module is essential for creating records of blocks that will eventually be placed in the plate freezer. This process involves selecting products, defining block quantities, and managing batch numbers for packaging and raw materials.
Steps for Block Entries Workflow #
1. Starting a Batch #
- When creating block entries, the system displays the Running Batch information at the top.
- Actions available:
- Starting New Batch: Initiates a new batch for block entries.
- End Current Batch: Ends the current running batch.
2. Adding Block Records #
- Navigate to the Block Entries section.
- Click Add Record to create a new block entry.
- Fill out the following details:
- Select Product: Choose the product for the block entry from the dropdown menu.
- Block Quantity: Enter the quantity of blocks being recorded.
- Packaging Batch No.: If multiple packaging batches are available, a dropdown will appear to select the appropriate batch.
- Raw Material Batch No.:
- If there are multiple batches in the production line, a dropdown will appear to select the raw material batch.
- If only one batch exists, the raw material and packaging batch numbers will be automatically fetched from the running batch.
- Click Add Record to save the block entry.
System Behavior for Duplicate Entries #
- If the system detects an existing entry for the same product and batch, it will not create a new entry.
- Instead, the system will update the quantity of the existing entry to reflect the new block quantity.
3. Managing Blocks #
- The system displays a table of block entries for the running batch, including:
- Product: Name of the product.
- Block Quantity: Quantity of blocks recorded.
- Batch No.: Associated batch number.
- Updated At: Timestamp of the last update.
- Actions:
- Edit block entries using the Edit Icon.
Notes #
- Ensure that the correct product and batch numbers are selected before saving the record.
- If a batch is not running, start a new batch before adding records.
- The system automatically fetches batch numbers unless multiple options are available, in which case manual selection is required.
- The system will handle duplicate entries by updating quantities rather than creating redundant records.
This workflow simplifies the process of tracking block entries, ensuring accurate records for further processing in the plate freezer.
